The Daniel Defense DD4 RIII 16" 5.56 NATO Complete Upper Receiver is designed for high performance and durability. It features a 16-inch Cold Hammer Forged Government Profile barrel with a mid-length gas system and HP/MPI tested to ensure quality. The 12.5-inch lightweight RIS III rail offers M-LOK attachment points, modeled after the SOCOM-developed RIS II handguard, and maintains M203 grenade-launcher compatibility. This upper receiver also includes an M16 profile bolt carrier group and a GRIP-N-RIP charging handle that's ideal for suppressed fire and designed to redirect gas flow away from the shooter's face.

Constructed from robust materials, the DD4 RIII upper receiver boasts a CNC-machined 7075-T6 aluminum upper with a Type III hard coat anodized finish. The chrome-lined, cold hammer forged barrel is made from Chrome Moly Vanadium steel and coated with Mil-Spec heavy phosphate. The gas system features a pinned low profile gas block made from hardened steel, while the muzzle is equipped with a Daniel Defense flash suppressor finished in salt bath nitride. The RIS III handguard is machined from 6061-T6 aluminum, providing strength and versatility.
